Remember running around with your Discman, with those clunky, foam-covered headphones, blasting Eminem's bombastic "My Dad's Gone Crazy" single, with baby-voiced Hailie Jade rapping along with her dad? (Yes, yes you do.)
Well, now you are officially old and no longer a part of the coveted youth audience, because over the weekend, Hailie Jade Scott Mathers was crowned homecoming queen of Chippewa Valley High School. The 17-year-old senior hails from Macomb County, Michigan, and in case anyone is suggesting that her win is linked to nepotism, she was voted in by fellow students, faculty, and the school's community. So, it appears her dad's bad-boy streak is not genetic.

Eminem watched the ceremony from a nearby classroom, not wanting his celebrity to take away from his daughter's special moment. Her mom (the much-maligned "Kim" from said song) accompanied Hailie to accept the crown. To make the occasion even sweeter, her high school won its homecoming game.
And, in case you're wondering — Hailie's corresponding king was a jovial-looking Tyler, "a self-described nerd who loves Star Trek." Like we said, we're feeling old, reminiscing with sad, empty memories of "Cleaning Out Our Closet." (ABC)
