On the heels of Charlie Hunnam's departure from Fifty Shades of Grey, it seems there could be more trouble brewing for the movie adaptation. Although Hunnam cited previous obligations as his official reason for dropping out (he's currently filming his TV show Sons of Anarchy), it's widely believed that he dropped out due to the mounting pressure and scrutiny from the press. Sadly, the same may now be true for Dakota Johnson, who's currently signed to play Anastasia Steele.
According to E!, a source close to the actress reported thats she's having a hard time dealing with all the press surrounding the project. "When she first got the role, it was way too much for her," said the source. Johnson is the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson, so it's safe to say that she's no stranger to the spotlight. But, this time, she's being seen in a whole new light. Johnson has yet to comment as to whether she's going to see the movie through or not, but from the sounds of things, the production company may be looking for a new Anastasia. We'd love to see Dakota take on the role, but ultimately she needs to do what's best for her. Stay tuned for more 50 Shades updates. (E! Online)
