With all of the hype and rumors around Philip Seymour Hoffman's death, it's easy to forget that he was not just an actor. He was a real person — a parent, lover, and friend. And, while the country is mourning the loss of a great actor, those close to him are mourning something even bigger. A sad reminder of this is Amy Adams, who recently appeared on Inside The Actor's Studio.
The interview eventually turned toward Hoffman, her friend and two-time costar, and it was more than she could handle. According to Us Weekly, Adams broke down several times while trying to talk about knowing the late actor. A witness who was present at the filming told the mag that Amy called Hoffman the greatest actor she's worked with, and told the audience, "I wish you all could have had the chance to work with him."
Later in the week, Amy attended the actor's private memorial alongside Cate Blanchett, Joaquin Phoenix, and Michelle Williams. Here's hoping they all find the closure they need during this tragedy. (Us Weekly)
