Even Lourdes Is Embarrassed By What She Wore In High School

There's a reason why everyone's #TBT photos hail from our toddler years; there are too many memories from the latter days that are just plain mortifying. But, we're not alone in our shame of Blossom hats and ill-fitting jeans. Even Lourdes Leon — Madonna's ultra-stylish daughter and design partner for their Material Girl line — does a face-palm when thinking about her past fashions.
On the heels of her high school graduation, Lola (as she's now known) reflected on the past four years in her most recent Material World blog post. "Looking back...on high school means looking back on outfits," she wrote. "Oh, how I wish I could go back in time and urge my 14-year-old self NOT to wear black, rhinestone-studded T-shirts with bloody skulls on them, purchased from really 'hip' stores." Despite the occasional sartorial misstep, the fashion designer and aspiring actress still considers high school an all-around great time. And, it seems that Madonna has instilled a strong sense of humility in her offspring. "I know that I was lucky enough to go to a truly exceptional high school that produces high-quality shows and actually teaches you the craft of what you’re studying," she wrote of NYC's Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School.
Lourdes also chronicled her pre-college plans (hint: bucket hats are involved) and shared the playlist that will be ushering in her summer (hint: Busta Rhymes is involved). Check out the full blog post for all her material musings. (Material World)
