Frances Bean Cobain Tells Lana Del Rey: Death Isn’t Glamorous

For Frances Bean Cobain, there's nothing romantic about dying young. Last night, the daughter of Kurt Cobain lashed out on Twitter at Lana Del Rey, who recently caused a small controversy when she told an interviewer, "I wish I was dead already."
Cobain weighed in with a series of tweets, the first of which were rather aggressive:

She quickly took on a more apologetic tone:
In the interview with the Guardian's Tim Jonze, Del Rey said that she idolized Kurt Cobain and Amy Winehouse, both who died at 27. Shortly after the article was published, she countered that Jonze (who she mistakenly identified as a different Guardian staffer) hid "sinister ambitions and angles" with his "leading questions," suggesting that her quotes were taken of of context.
In response to Del Rey, Jonze published an audio snippet from the interview, in which he repeatedly asks the singer if she finds a young death glamorous. "[She] can hardly complain about the subject matter," wrote Jonze. "[She'd] been talking about her icons all dying young, she named her debut album Born to Die and had spent much of the 50 minutes previous to this point telling me how miserable she was."
