Topshop has enlisted Kate Bosworth to front its first-ever holiday short, with her fiancé Michael Polish directing. But rest assured, this isn’t your average festive fashion film; the brand persuaded the ladylike actress to pick up a microphone and belt out a seasonal classic "Winter Wonderland."
Okay, so maybe not quite "belt out." It's actually much more of a breathy "Je T’aime" interpretation of the song. Still, Bosworth makes it work. In a set-up inspired by Michelle Pfeiffer's famous piano scene in The Fabulous Baker Boys, the film perches the starlet on top of a grand piano, wearing a custom-made shimmering red dress (Topshop, obvi).

Topshop has been building suspense over its new campaign star for the past five days, creating a special hashtag — #whosthatgirl — which started trending towards the end of last week. The track is available on iTunes and the brand says it has the Christmas charts in its sights. We’re not convinced that Kate's version is up there with the Darlene Love classic, but it would definitely make a welcome change from the recent slew of forgettable covers.
Hit play below to get into the festive spirit (and/or pass merciless Simon Cowell-style judgement) against the backdrop of the actress’ vocal talents.
