Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will likely end after season four, although it may end with a movie, an efficient 2-hour Netflix film that will wrap up the series, Deadline reports. Buzzfeed confirmed Friday that the production team is discussing the prospect of a movie finale. Refinery29 has also reached out to representation for Netflix for comment.
In June of last year, Netflix announced that the show had been renewed for season 4. It was later revealed that the fourth season would arrive in two parts. The first part will arrive on 30th May, a detail that was revealed in Netflix's monthly newsletter. The second half — seven episodes, reportedly — would arrive at an unspecified later date.

Tina Fey and Robert Carlock's show was critically acclaimed when it first premiered. In the years since, though, it floundered. Its third season in particular received a rallying cry for its cancellation, at least from Refinery29. The fourth season will feature Busy Philipps, and, for now, the first part will only be six episodes.
