R29 Reads: The Books We’re Picking Up This July

The weather has finally caught up to the month we’re in, which means celebrations all round. Does this call for lunchtime ice creams in the park? Yes. Sitting in a beer garden past 9pm? Double yes. Generally not doing a lot apart from lying in the sun? Pretty much.
There is a never-ending list of things to do in summer but one of the best activities around is enjoying the relaxing pleasure of a good book. Whether it's sitting in your garden and unwinding at the end of the day or making your hot morning commute that little bit more bearable, summertime is the perfect excuse to get back on the literary train.
Last month, Team R29 explored a number of new releases including Lisa Taddeo’s Ghost Lover, which speaks about the relationship between obsession, love and grief, as well as funny and thoughtful titles like Ryan O’Connell’s Just By Looking at Him, which examines everything from threesomes to long-term relationship tedium.
As we head into July, we're turning our attention towards an equally exciting clutch of new reads, from historical fiction to addictive thrillers.
