Peek Inside Melania Trump’s World (And Penthouse!)

Melania Trump and Refinery29. Perhaps you didn't see that match-up coming? In all honesty, Mrs. Trump wasn't on our bucket list of style profiles. But, when we had the chance to interview and photograph the businesswoman, mother, and designer, we couldn't help but be charmed by the reality behind her 1%-er life. After being directed to the penthouse suite of her U.E.S Trump Tower apartment mansion, taking a gratuitous photo in front of the gold-and-diamond front door (!), and putting on the obligatory bootie scrubs (!!) to ensure zero floor scuffing, we met Melania, determined to keep an open mind.

And despite over-the-top surroundings that might make Liberace blush, the lady defined poise and grace, welcoming us warmly into her white and gold and mirrored living room, and handing us a small plastic bottle of "Trump Ice" water (no really, it exists!). To be clear: If you have any preconceived notions of what Donald and Melania's apartment looks like, you're probably right. But, if you have preconceived notions of a stuck-up, arrogant Mrs. T, you couldn't be more wrong. Just like the jewellery she designs exclusively for QVC, Melania is versatile, accessible, and (quite literally) sparkly from the inside out. Oh, and if you prefer to get your touches of luxe for a bit less, we're letting you in on how you can snag a bit of her glitz, too (though we don't expect you to pair it with a floor-length Valentino...or bootie scrubs).
