Romantic Texture and Pixie-Fingertips at Alice + Olivia

The scene was anecdotal even before clothing was considered—parlor furniture, a wooden staircase, and burlesque-show curtains set the stage for Alice + Olivia's spring '11 line. The right-wing presentation was eccentric-romantic: short hemlines on party dresses heavy with beading, cropped jackets crusted with metallic embellishment, worn denim shorts and bohemian paisley prints. On the left, daytime casual took a '70s turn with collared blouses, flare leg pants, and a sparkling shawl over a bandeau top and thick yellow belt. Footwear was a free-for-all, with leopard spots, sparkles, and alligator skin balanced by solids—but the real show-stopper was the nails. Multi-colored checks and solid gold press-ons highlighted models' fingertips and gave these beauties an extra dose of magic. Not even Alcide the werewolf (yes, he was there) could resist!
