Carven Spring 2012 Pre-Collection Is For The Grown-Up Eloise

We may have grown out of pinafores and hairbows, but the idea of dressing up like we call the Plaza Hotel home is something we like to indulge in. The OG penthouse princess, Eloise's Franco-chic style has been copied from her starched collars down to her socks-and-flats-clad feet, but we haven't seen it look so damn sophisticated than in Carven's spring '12 pre-collection. The dresses are patterned in vintage maps and postcards, like a frozen travel scrapbook (what—you think Eloise stays at the Plaza year-round?), and crisp collared crop-tops and shirts are paired with sophisticated pinafores and shoes with bows that won't get you called Lolita.
