Around since 1959, the Newport Folk Festival is one of the oldest music festivals around (Bob Dylan played his first national performance on its stages). Without the glam of Coachella, the hype of Burning Man, or the size of Lollapalooza, Newport Folk Festival is the quiet, established music festival that's actually about music, and not about pool parties or paparazzi.
