Gucci Does Seriously Good Work With The GG Flag Collection

With all the name-game drama surrounding Gucci lately, it’s nice to see the design house playing nice on a seriously important cause. Gucci has launched the GG Flag Collection to benefit UNICEF and we’re seeing stars over the patriotic tees and bags designed by creative director, Frida Giannini.
Yes, fashion designers working to educate underprivileged children has been mocked in the past (The Derek Zoolander School For Children Who Can’t Read Good comes to mind), but it’s hard to deny the power for change behind this latest collection. These iconic totes, wallets, bags, and top have now been updated with a small dose of stars-and-stripes style, making them classically patriotic but still dressy enough for occasions when your FEED bag won't quite do the trick.
A solid 25 percent of the proceeds from the GG Flag collection will be donated to the educational iniatives, and on top of that, the company is forking over $350,000 to fund programs in two areas of China. Suddenly, this sounds like the best It bag option out there.
