One smashing September issue with an inspiring starlet and shot by a celeb photographer is hard enough to do. So, imagine pulling off a cover with four lovely ladies — three actresses and a model — each shot by four equally notable names.
Four very different personalities (with equally diverse styles) are cover girls for Vs.'s September issue: Rachel McAdams, Liv Tyler, Coco Rocha, and Amanda Seyfried. The most glam gal is definitely Coco, whose cat eye and fake beauty mark is a vampy paradise. The black, white, and pink cover, shot by Ellen von Unwerth, gives Coco's trademarked red hair a rest and lets the supermodel work her perfect (and we do mean perfect) cheekbones.

Surprisingly, romance-and-teen-flick star Amanda Seyfried turns it out with a screen siren pout that suggests she may be leaving her squeaky-clean Dear John days in the dust. Also surprisingly, her straight-on, vixen-stare photo is shot by fashion photog Guy Aroch.

In continuing with the smoky-eye-gone-vamp look is a wet and water-bound Liv Tyler, who, like Seyfried, gives the camera her most unflinchingly honest stare. Her cover was shot not by a photographer, but Helena Christensen, who must've went on a dip with Ms. Tyler.
The cover that is the most different is the bare-faced, sand-encrusted Rachel McAdams, who looks as if she just emerged from the sea. Wearing no makeup (unlike the other three kohl-lined beauties), McAdams stares, lips parted, at the camera — which is helmed by director/actress/mother-to-be/superwoman Drew Barrymore.
While each of these vastly different covers (and stars) evoke totally different moods, we love the way they all look together. Yet, if we had to (like, had to) pick a favorite...does Liv Tyler do everything perfectly? (Answer: Yes.)
