Prada’s Latest Offering? A House, Of Course

Chanel surfboards, Ferragamo hotels, Louis Vuitton skateboards... When it comes to products, luxury brands have proven time anad again that they're so much more than just the latest It bag. But still, an entire Prada pad? Color us molto intrigued.
Last night, during its fall '13 menswear show in Milan, Prada unveiled the "Ideal House." Okay, so technically, you can't buy new digs from Prada. But, if you could, your new home might look like this insanely cool runway — the Italian luxury brand inverted the traditional catwalk configuration and built a "house" around the audience. Spectators were treated to male models "acting as characters" in the ultimate Ken doll abode: futuristic chairs, killer views, and a bed perfect for a busy Bond.
While the real estate is not for sale, dapper dudes (and ladies) can get their hands on the modern furniture, a versatile 12-piece collection — realized in wood, metal, and plexiglass in conjunction with paper textures  — designed by OMA for Knoll and hitting shelves later this year. Models, unfortunately, not included.
