No, that wasn't another earthquake that had everyone in SoCal refreshing their Twitter feeds — it was the official Coachella account announcing the '13 roster. And, you better believe this update sent shock waves through L.A. and beyond.
First things first: Those rumors about The Rolling Stones visiting Indio were totally false. But, don't fret — this year's list of headliners will totally come to your emotional rescue. We're talking Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur, The Stone Roses, and Phoenix — and those are just the boys with the biggest font on the flyer. Below those bands, you'll notice a slew of even more top-notch performers. Day one boasts the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Lou Reed, Jurassic 5, Passion Pit, Tegan and Sara, and Band of Horses. Day two will see The xx, the Postal Service, Sigur Rós, New Order, Hot Chip, Grizzly Bear, and 2 Chainz. And the final day will round out the festival with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Vampire Weekend, Wu-Tang Clan, and Dinosaur Jr.
Of course, that's just the tip of the iceberg — take a gander at the entire itinerary and let us know who you're most stoked to see. Tickets go on sale on Tuesday, January 29, at 10 a.m. PST. Last year's box office sold out in under two hours, so set that alarm and get the Amex ready (it's $349 for a general admission tickets and $799 for VIP). And, most importantly, let the outfit planning officially begin!
