Leigh Lezark Goes Blonde — Has The World Ended?

Did the apocalypse actually happen? Was the Mayan calendar right all along? Is this Inception? Okay, so the world hasn't ended (though with Fashion Week, it feels pretty damn close), but if anything was going to be a sign, this is it. Leigh Lezark, perpetual goth glamour goddess and moody muse, has ditched her jet-black locks for what's an undeniably blonde 'do. And, that's not all — seems like the Misshapes DJ is jettisoning her normal midnight apparel for something a little sunnier, too!

We spotted the transformation at last night's Shopbop party at the Top of the Standard — hosted by Nicola Formichetti — to celebrate the Muglerette graffiti bag, created just for the designer e-commerce site. Talk about a style makeover — Lezark debuted a blunt, shoulder-length, side-parted coiff — and yes, it was blonde. Of course, the makeup lightened up, too, with soft smoky eyes, dewey skin, and a fresh pink lip. Now, on to the outfit: LL changed it up with a demure, schoolgirl-ish white frock with a collar embellished with — no joke — colorful flowers. Add to that the standout purple Muglerette bag with Formichetti's magenta scribbles and bright-red Mary Janes with gold-and-black knee socks, and we barely recognized the It Girl (but, in case there are any doubts, we love what's going on here). Somehow, the earth is still rotating.
