We Barely Recognized The Game Of Thrones Gals At Last Night’s Premiere

While it shouldn't be surprising that women who we get to know via period pieces look pretty amazing outside of costume, seeing the often bedraggled, blood-spattered, or wig-wearing women of Game Of Thrones on the red carpet is still a shocker. The idea that Lena Headey isn't a blonde or Gwendoline Christie is actually quite elegant feels, well, weird.

Yet, here they are, the ladies of Westeros, hitting the premiere of GoT's Season 3 in — gasp! — 21st-century wear. Since the next several weeks are going to be major Thrones overload (the season premieres on March 31), we ought to get used to seeing our favorite HBO (anti-) heroines out of costume...but is it wrong that we kind of don't want to?
