We’ve been hooked on Gravel & Gold’s quirky, out-of-the-box designs ever since we first laid eyes on the now-infamous boobie top and tote, designed by co-owner Cassie McGettigan. Well, the Mission-based boutique is taking it up a notch and venturing above boob-embellished gear, because they just unveiled a new slew of eyebrow-raising creations for its inaugural in-house line. (But, don't fret guys — the boob paraphernalia is still around!)
The gals of Gravel & Gold tapped local artist Rachel Kaye to help out with a few new patterns. Kaye's contributions (titled NOIZ) are textiles that are composed of bright hues and sharp geometric shapes, making for some gorgeous springtime wares.
We're seriously fawning over every vibrant item in the collection. See for yourself after the jump, and be sure to check out the line in a handful of stores (General Store, MAC, Conifer, Proof Lab, and more) around town and beyond. It doesn't stop there: Swing by Gravel & Gold tomorrow to fete the new fashions with the gals. A launch party will be going down, so expect live music, flowing booze, art, and of course, these sweet digs in person. Deets below!
When: Wednesday, March 20, 6 to 8 p.m.
Where: Gravel & Gold, 3266 21st Street (at Lexington Street); 415-552-0112.
