Fleetwood Mac: Madison Square Garden, April 8, $49.50
While the countless roster changes over the years are almost impossible to count, the current core group of John McVie, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingham, and Mick Fleetwood is as close to a perfect lineup as we'll ever get. A classic band and a classic arena makes for a can't-miss show.
Monday, April 8, 8 p.m., Madison Square Garden, 2 Penn Plaza (between 7th and 8th avenues); 212-465-6741.
AraabMuzik, Nick Catchdubs: Output, April 10, $15+
Electronic music producer and professional MPC destroyer AraabMuzik is usually seen playing to audiences of thousands, eyes shaded by his trademark New Era. This Wednesday, though, he'll be testing out the sound system of Williamsburg's newly minted club Output. It's an awesome chance to hear AraabMuzik's beats the way they were meant to be heard: on a real dance floor.
Wednesday, April 10, 10 p.m., Output, 74 Wythe Avenue (between North 11th and North 12 avenues); Brooklyn; No phone.
Marnie Stern, Talk Normal, Speedy Ortiz: April 11, $12
There are few guitarists who can match the velocity, dexterity, or sonic fireworks that so often blast from Marnie Stern's Fender Jazzmaster. Yet the finger-tapping rocker is also capable of surprising emotionality, especially on her excellently titled new LP The Chronicles of Marnia. Come for the ear-shattering math-punk, stay for the pathos.
Thursday, April 11, 8 p.m. Music Hall of Williamsburg, 66 North 6th Street (between Kent and Wythe avenues); Brooklyn; 718-486-5400.
