Take A Tour Of Halston Heritage’s Glitzy Hollywood Home

L.A. is a magnet. It draws dreamers, entrepreneurs, and creatives all vying for their spot in the SoCal sunlight. And, it seems as if Halston is the latest to fall prey to that West Best Coast pull — the iconic fashion house recently opened its second Halston Heritage store at the Bev Center. (The new flagship comes in the wake of Halston relocating its HQ to Lala and appointing a new CEO, Ben Malka.)
Much like Halston’s coveted gowns, the store combines timeless elegance with modern sophistication. The brick-and-mortar takes its design cues from the founder himself, incorporating aspects of Roy Halston Frowick’s life and home. For example, the shoe display nods to the floating staircase found in Frowick's NYC pad; frocks and ready-to-wear pieces hang from ballet barre-inspired fixtures (a reference to the designer’s love of dance); and theatrically posed mannequins cover the wood-floored space. But, it's not just a walk down memory lane: The sales crew carry iPads 'round the boutique, so you can forget waiting in line to reach the register. Time to welcome Halston Heritage to our city the best way we know how, by turning on some Studio 54-inspired beats and throwing on that easy jersey dress.
