Pretty People And Italian Imports At The Dolce & Gabbana Launch Party

Whether or not you're a big-ticket shopper, you know the feeling of walking through a high-end store and falling head-over-heels in love. That feeling was definitely in the air as we celebrated the opening of Dolce & Gabbana's new NYC flagship on Fifth Avenue (where else?) with some of the fashion world's top people.

Hosted by Giovanna Battaglia, the night was appropriately centered around Italian imports, from the food and the clothes, to the live Metropolitan Opera performances by Matthew Polenzani and Ellie Dehn and the seemingly endless posse of rave-haired beauties. And in a world where the true value of fast fashion is increasingly in question, we found ourselves wondering, how does Dolce & Gabbana fit into the conversation? Luckily, a bevy of influencers was on hand to tell us why, when it comes to design, quality counts.
