When like-minded artists come together, good things inevitably happen. But add some vintage clothing, a stunning model, and a projector? Those are the makings of an incredible art-meets-fashion project. And that's exactly what D.C. illustrator and vintage purveyor Lise Silva and Richmond-based artist Sara Gossett have created with their new collaboration, dubbed "Dreams from the Psychedelic Dollhouse."
For the shoot, they outfitted local model/stylist Kate Greene in vintage nighties and robes, created some seriously inspiring pastel-makeup looks, and then projected their collection of paintings and drawings onto her as she struck Valley of the Dolls-inspired poses. "Incorporating the projector as a creative tool has opened new horizons in my work," Silve says, noting that her goal is to create "real-life dreamscapes that merge fashion and fine art in a truly unique way." We can't agree more — because we can't stop looking at this particular dreamscape. Read more about the project here, and click through to see all the dreamy results.
