In case you hadn’t heard, the V&A’s record-breaking, blockbusting, star-spangled Bowie exhibition will come to an end next month (sorry to break it to you). But, all is not lost: Our favourite London museum has come up with another corker for summer that will take you through to 2014. This week, Club to Catwalk">Club to Catwalk, an exhibition that reveals the extraordinary fashions that emerged in London’s uproarious and outrageous '80s club culture, will open its doors.
From Blitz Kids to rave, the exhibition celebrates the rule-breaking designers of the decade including Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, and Katharine Hamnett, and well as the impact of awesomely OTT icons of the era like Leigh Bowery and Princess Julia. Which all adds up to the perfect excuse to celebrate London’s infamous club culture over the decades.
