Best-dressed lists are often limited to actors, singers, and models — which makes sense given that they generally source inspiration from red-carpet events. But, as we well know, there are tons of other people in all kinds of fields doing amazing things with their personal style, and that's why we always look forward to Vanity Fair's annual best-dressed list.

As usual, you've got all your typical Hollywood picks (can we get a round of applause for Kerry Washington, please?), plus a few more surprising entries like classical violinist Charlie Siem and writer Jill Kargman. There's even a bona fide fashion blogger in the mix! And then, of course, there's China's first lady Peng Liyuan, who's been making waves for a while now with her conservative but well-chosen ensembles.
