Oh, you thought we'd be done obsessing over Kate Middleton and the birth heard 'round the world, right? Wrong. Post-birth Royals are the new black. And lucky for you fellow Buckingham-heads, we have just about a month before Kate comes out of maternity leave. It's been about four weeks since Prince George entered the world, and the family of three has retreated to a farmhouse by the sea on an island in northwest Wales. Sounds poetic, no?
Mark your calendars and set an alert on your phone for September 12 — the "simple" life comes to an end, as Kate and William are expected to appear at the Tusk Trust awards. "That is the plan," a Palace source told People (Prince William is a notable patron to the charity that focuses on protecting Africa's wildlife and natural resources while improving communities). The new father hopes to instill the same kind of appreciation for African culture in his son as the late Princess Diana did when he and Harry were little boys. And with Kate becoming a mini-Di herself, she's sure to tag along, too. Here's to a happy and healthy last couple of weeks before real life begins again for the couple. (People)
