When it comes to '80s-indebted indie rock, few do a better job than Poliça. The Minneapolis, MN band is readying its new album, Shulamith, to be released this fall via Mom + Pop. "Chain My Name" is the latest taste from the record, and it's certainly the most upbeat thing we've heard from the band to date, drawing from vintage pop as well as the buttery rock the band clearly loves. Lead-vocalist Channy Leaneagh, in particular, is in top form as she embraces her glossy-disco side.
While the official album won't be out until October 20, there will be a limited-run release of 500 hand-numbered bootlegs on the 15 before the album's official release. These records will feature exclusive artwork by Channy, her daughter, and the band and will be available exclusively to indie-record shops. As for the wide release, you can you can pre-order the record starting now at Poliça's website.
