So, at this Sunday's VMAs Lady Gaga's opening, Miley's attending and Katy Perry might bring a tiger onstage. But, nothing will compare to an *NSYNC reunion — that is, if the rumor is true. According to the
New York Post, Justin Timberlake will join J.C. Chasez, Lance Bass, Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick for what we can only hope will be a revamp of the gratuitous pop performances of VMA yesteryears.
Timberlake is already on the bill to take the stage solo at Barclays Center (and will rightfully receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award that evening), but the awards aren't what we tune in for. The VMAs hinge themselves on provocative performances (Madonna, Britney, and Xtina anyone?). If MTV really wanted to revive the VMAs, bringing back the heydays of pop is a surefire way. Hey, it worked for the Superbowl, didn't it? (Just Jared)
