For anyone who's been following the buzz surrounding Joseph Gordon-Levitt's upcoming
Don Jon
, you know that the movie is full of, ahem, adult themes. The flick follows JGL's juiced-up Jersey Shore character in his quest to find real-life love despite his insatiable appetite for, well, porn. But, if you thought this meant you'd get a peek at Gordon-Levitt's goods, you would be wrong. As it turns out, none of the characters stripped down all the way during filming.

According to Hollywood Life, JGL (who also wrote and directed Don Jon) opted to keep things more R-rated than NC-17, for the sake of the story. "It would just be distracting," said Gordon-Levitt. "This is not a movie of brutal realism; it’s a comedy and it’s a story. It’s sort of a parable, so there would really be no reason to have any nudity." Of course, there's still plenty of scandalous footage in the movie, as the flick's trailer clearly illustrates — lest you're worried things will be too squeaky-clean.
Besides, what the movie lacks in full frontal, it more than makes up in humor and drama. JGL took his task of first-time triple-threat seriously, and tackled the scandalous material head-on. "I thought the idea of a guy, who watches too much pornography," he said to Hollywood Life. "And a young woman, who watches too many romantic Hollywood movies, was a hilarious way to ask the question: How do the different kinds of media we consume impact our lives and our love lives?" Valid question. One that we're very much looking forward to exploring. (Hollywood Life)
