Laurel Pantin defies many fashion stereotypes — she grew up wanting to be a scientist, she regularly shops men's painter jumpsuits, and she's down to earth, friendly, and just plain cool. Plus, her clothing choices (which you may have spotted in any number of street-style roundups this past NYFW) have just as much personality as she does. So, it's really no surprise that Lucky EIC Eva Chen chose Pantin as her fashion market editor (Pantin had also served as Chen's assistant at Teen Vogue).
Naturally, we needed a proper catch-up with Pantin to check in on her new j-o-b and to see how she's stretching her fall wardrobe from the office in Times Square to dinners downtown — and everything in between (this past week we're talking innumerable shows, events, and presentations galore). What we got? That signature mix of tomboy swag meets glammed-up editor and tips on how to make it in the biz. After all, Pantin's go-to advice (from Eva herself) is "fashion favors the bold," and it looks like the style odds are definitely stacked in her corner.
