Western Editions is comprised of two letterpressing ladies who live in the Western Addition (get it?!). Erin Fong and Taylor Reid spend their days bringing analog back to our digital world. That is, designing and hand printing limited-edition prints, posters, wedding invitations, menus, business cards — you name it — on a 1960s Vandercook press.
Their slogan, "We make cute shit," doesn't come close to explaining the explosion of cuteness we walked into when we visited their in-home studio, where everything — from the art on the walls to the kitchen stools — is handmade, hand painted, hand printed, and handy, to boot. We DIY-ed and went to heaven!
If you love a good do-it-yourself project, consider signing up for one of their classes, offered through Workshop SF. If you're not sure, just wait. Between their artwork, their humor, their wardrobe, and their envy-worthy Levi's aprons, you'll be rolling up your sleeves to "get inked" in no time.
