Another day, another batshit-crazy quote from Pat Robertson. Swiftly, over the course of a single day, he has managed to offend the entire transgender community, as well as anyone who subscribes to a low-carb diet. What do these two seemingly disparate stories have to do with one another, you ask? Nothing.
Robertson lays down the law (God's law) when it comes to the Atkins diet: “The carbs are the fire that burns everything completely,” Robertson said. “Sooner or later it violates principles that God sent down.” Okay, not even going to try to parse that one.
He's also pretended to not understand the term "transgender," yet then compared transgendered individuals to a castrated horse. He's knowledgeable on this front, for sure, as he actually has "a former stallion who is now a gelding.”
