The doyenne of lifestyle has spoken: Gwyneth Paltrow is in — kind of. Martha Stewart spoke with
Bloomberg TV
's Stephanie Ruhle regarding the petty feud between her and Paltrow. Since 2011, the homemaker maven and her budding, unsolicited apprentice have been ever-so politely duking it out, instigated after Stewart left Paltrow's first cookbook release party early, to be exact.
"I haven’t eaten at Gwyneth’s house," Stewart told Ruhle, "and I’ve never seen how she lives. But, if she’s authentic, all the better. And, I mean, I certainly hope she is." Apparently Stewart is too busy reigning over her own empire to partake in the gossip. Us commoners are well aware of the flaw-free lifestyle Paltrow leads.
Stewart, on the other hand, couldn't give two shakes of an organic pepper mill. She acknowledged Paltrow's efforts in the interview, saying she must be doing something right in reference to Paltrow's best-selling cookbook. But, when it comes to who's Queen B, Stewart doesn't hesitate to cordially lay down the law: "She wants to be a lifestyle arbiter? Fine. Good. I think I started this whole category of lifestyle!" Amen, Martha, amen. Paltrow might be reveling in the quaint shine of polished silver utensils and a soapstone countertop, but give credit where credit is due, girl. (Radar)
