OK so it wasn't a bargain in the sense of a $5 thrift store dress, but if you happened to be in the market for some cut price hand-me-down Kardashian bling, this was your lucky week.

Kim's 20-carat engagement from Kris Humphries sold at a Christie's auction in NYC on Tuesday for a dazzling $620,000, but the anonymous buyer ended up splashing out closer to $749,000 thanks to auction fees 'n' all,
US Magazine
reports.

While the vast amount of cash exchanged is eye-watering to a mere mortal, those of you keen to procure a Lorraine Schwartz ring featuring a 16.5-carat emerald cut center stone flanked by a pair of 2-carat trapezoid, will know that the savvy buyer snagged quite the bargain. Kris apparently shelled out close to $2 million for the ring back in 2011. Given that the pair were married for a scant 72 days, that works out as roughly $27,777 a day...Still, let's not get too gloomy: the auction catalog noted that that a portion of the proceeds from the item's sale would benefit an as-yet-undetermined charity, so at least one good thing has come out of this situation.
