Debenhams Celebrates 200th Birthday With A Little Help From Its Designer Friends

High Street retailer and champion of diversity, Debenhams, is 200 years old. To celebrate, the department store is offering a capsule collection of limited-edition pieces created by some of the best design talent London has to offer. It should come as no surprise that Debenhams was the first retailer to introduce the public to the concept of the High Street-designer label collaboration, nearly 21 years ago.

Over the past two decades, Debenhams has worked with top fashion houses, including the likes of Henry Holland, Marios Schwab, Jonathan Saunders, and Preen. And, the designers were thrilled to contribute to the brand's extra-special birthday with a limited-edition sketch or two. As Holland explains, "Working with Debenhams has allowed me to reach out to women through my designs and dress them in exciting, affordable fashion. I hope our partnership continues for many years to come."
