Emile Hirsch’s Next Role Is…John Belushi?

Ever since John Belushi's tragic passing, there's been a serious void in Hollywood. It's been over 30 years, and yet, we still miss the Blues Brothers as much as ever. Now, Belushi is about to be immortalized once again in a brand-new biopic.
Unlike the 1989 movie Wired, Belushi's family and friends are giving this new project their full support. Steve Conrad will write and direct the as-yet-untitled flick, while Belushi's widow, Judy Belushi Pisano, and good friend Dan Aykroyd have signed on as producers.
Hirsch has won accolades as a dramatic character actor thanks to roles in Milk and Into The Wild, but he may have to dust off his comedic chops for this one. After all, as a Saturday Night Live alum, John Belushi could make people laugh with the best of 'em. Plus, Hirsch is tasked with beefing up a bit to play the legendary comedian. That said, we have high hopes that he can fill Belushi's very big, very legendary shoes. (The Wrap)
