Christina Ricci’s Wedding Dress Is A Bespoke, Couture Dream

Fame certainly comes with its drawbacks, but having celebrated couturiers design bespoke wedding gowns for you is not one of them. That's just a day in the life of Christina Ricci, America's favorite slightly off-kilter sweetheart and newlywed. The other RiRi, if you don't mind our saying so, got married to James Heerdegen last week in Manhattan. And, while we were previously doomed to speculate about her nuptials, we were overjoyed when we spotted this picture she Tweeted of her amazing gown.
Created for her by Riccardo Tisci, the lace veil is a perfect, ladylike accent to a modern silhouette. Nobody else could make a long train, crew neck, shoulder cutouts, and form-fitting bodice somehow work all at once — and we're glad of it. Celebrity wedding dresses often lean toward the out-of-this-world fancy, but this one is something we find both striking and are actually able to envision for a real-world situation. What do you think? Are those shoulder cutouts too nontraditional, or is this the dress of your dreams?
