Lauren Conrad Finally Spills The Beans On Her Engagement

The fact that Lauren Conrad will have a to-die-for California wedding is pretty much a given. But, the fact that she was even going to have a wedding wasn't so certain. As Conrad told Cosmopolitan in her January cover interview, her engagement came as quite a surprise. She assumed he would wait until he was finished with law school, and he didn't even ask her friends for advice on choosing the ring. Of course, he knows exactly what she likes, and she described it as "perfect."
The stylish polymath dished to Cosmo about her reactions to the big proposal, and what she's learned about love during her dating life. Apparently, it starts with patience. "You have the rest of your life to be married," she told the mag. "Enjoy falling in love. When girls get caught up in the timeline, it becomes more about the wedding than the marriage. You should be with someone with whom you could elope this weekend and be happy." Now that she's betrothed to her true love, she also has some advice on just how to know he's the one.
"William hates it when I say this, but he really is a very nice guy," she said. "And, when you meet a nice guy who also manages to keep your interest, that is the dream…If you’re going to settle down, it should be with someone you can’t stop thinking about. Especially if you’re in your 20s. If I were single in my 60s, I would totally settle. I would!" We're thrilled to here that LC has found major happiness post-Hills, and all this talk makes us more than impatient to see what she does for her big day.
