Is It Raining? We Hadn’t Noticed, Courtesy Of This Mulberry & Mackintosh Collab

Mulberry might just have created our favorite designer collaboration of the year. The luxury It-Brit label has announced it is joining forces with heritage label Mackintosh to create a range of raincoats that are as chic as they are practical.
While Mulberry is known and loved for its supremely desirable accessories and handbags, Mackintosh is the brand that since 1823 has been keeping the world dry with its trademark rubberized cotton. Not the sexiest fashion phrase but, push all thoughts of nondescript waterproof outerwear aside, this collection is the real deal. Think Mulberry’s iconic flower lock buttons and detachable merino lining in its heritage check combined with Mackintosh’s signature rubberized cotton fabric all crafted by hand. Of course, Net-A-Porter, the world’s most popular online store has scored the exclusive on the raincoat with polka dot arms — a look we’d never realised we wanted until we saw it. Yes, with prices starting at well over £1,000 it is a purchase that makes us and our bank manager wince, but we’re certain that we wouldn’t regret it.
