Christie’s Gives Vintage Jewelry A Whole New Meaning

There's vintage, and then there's vintage. No matter how great you are at thrifting, Christie's is about to school us all. Beginning December 13, Christie's will host its 15th-annual bauble auction entitled "Ancient Jewelry." And, there's no more appropriate name for this sale. After all, many pieces date back to the Hellenic era. We're talking earrings from 300 B.C.

Christie's hosts this display of ancient jewelry each December, and this year's collection is set to be the best yet. Sure, most of the pieces are our of our price range — by a lot. But, it's still fun to browse the gorgeous rings and necklaces that are thousands of years old and still totally wearable. Click through for a preview of these incredible vintage jewels.
