NSFW: This Artist Transforms Bodies With Just A Pose

In this day and age, it's easy to get caught up in what the "ideal" body type is. Between celebrities and models showing off impossibly thin figures to the proliferation of a pro-ana sentiment on social media, body image has gotten completely skewed. So, photographer Gracie Hagen decided to do something about it. She created the project "Illusions Of The Body" to tackle the supposed body norms that we're inundated with on the regular. Hagen photographed models in the nude, posing in two completely different ways. One is "flattering," the other is more traditionally unflattering.

"Most of us realize that the media displays only the prettiest photos of people, yet we compare ourselves to those images," said Hagen. "We never get to see those photos juxtaposed against a picture of that same person looking unflattering. That contrast would help a lot of body image issues we as a culture have." Each image is meant to show how each and every person is a different shape and size, and that the human body is a weird and beautiful thing.
