Rihanna & Eminem Exorcise Some “Monsters” In New Music Video

Eminem's latest visual finds the rapper fighting his own demons. He's cleaning his skeleton-filled closet and reflecting on his past — one that's riddled with high highs and low lows.
"Monster," the rapper's newest single off his MMLP2 album, has Eminem playing patient and Rihanna (a surprising star duo) assuming the role of therapist slash exorcist. Throughout the video, Eminem descends an Inception-like elevator shaft where each floor highlights moments from the rapper's 20-plus year career. It's a pretty powerful video in between clips of his Grammy performance with Elton John, 8 Mile, and paparazzi footage of him, Kim, and Hailie. Though there's no major wow sequence, Em and Rihanna's reflections are sap-free and humanizing. Rihanna's contribution to the song might just be the hook, but her presence is key to the plot's drama. She brings a refined edge to Eminem's brute anger. They've already killed it on all fronts with "Love The Way You Lie" and this single, but let's hope a third installment is in the near future — perhaps on Rih's next album? Maybe? Hopefully?
