Barbara Walters’ Most Fascinating Person Is Pretty Darn Fascinating

It often seems like pop culture reigns supreme in our national conversation, but Barbara Walters just proved us happily wrong. The veteran broadcast journalist aired her annual "10 Most Fascinating People" special last night, and while the list was filled with some usual suspects (hello, Miley Cyrus, Kimye, and Jennifer Lawrence), there were a few surprises thrown in. Also on the list? The royal baby, NSA leaker Edward Snowden, and the very controversial Duck Dynasty crew. But, while all of those characters are certainly, well, characters, we're pretty pleased with her selection for the top honor.
The title of Most Fascinating Person of 2013 went to none other than Hillary Clinton, mostly due to the speculation surrounding her possible 2016 presidential run. The fact that Clinton can drum up this much admiration — in a year where she is supposedly on a hiatus — speaks volumes for her character and intelligence. The politician sat with Walters during the special to talk about her personal journey and the inspiration along the way, and of course to address those pesky rumors. Check out a clip, below.
