Magazine fanatics certainly kept up with the Kardashians this year, among other celebs and reality TV stars. In a recently published article on the best- and worst-selling magazine issues of the past year, Adweek highlights the celebrity cover trends that defined 2013.
Back in April, soon to be Mrs. Kanye West appeared on the cover of Cosmopolitan. In the feature, Kim K dished all about "the money, the man, and the baby," and told her fans, in true Kardashian fashion, to "get what you want." Apparently, her readers listened. The issue was the magazine's best performer of the year, selling 1.2 million copies.

Former Hills star Lauren Conrad gave both Lucky and Marie Claire its second-biggest sellers of 2013, in March and July, respectively. The SoCal starlet continues to assert herself as fashion mogul and entrepreneur, and it seems like her followers can't get enough advice on her trademark, girl-next-door advice on love, beauty, and business.
And, we cannot forget about the Jennifers. Both JLaw and Jennifer Aniston brought in big September sales for Vogue and Glamour respectively, taking top honors at Conde's most respected women's mags. (Drew Barrymore's September cover for InStyle was also a big hit.)
As for 2014? Adweek is predicting the trend of robust numbers to continue. Some surefire best-sellers? With Kimye looking to tie the knot in the near future, our favorite Kardashian sister will no doubt make another glossy cover appearance. Aniston is also prepping for wedding bells with fiancé Justin Theroux, and those nuptials are sure to garner plenty of media attention. But of course, not all the coveted covers can be predicted. Certain spots must be reserved for someone surprising or special. Who knows, maybe someone will drop an album overnight? (Adweek)
