Orange Is The New Everything

In these first few days of the new year, we're feeling a little bleak. It's not enough that it's freezing outside — everything looks the same color of gray, and we barely remember the feeling of the sun on our SPF-covered faces. But, as we sort through 2014's newest makeup, we've noticed a trend that has us starting to smile again: orange. It seems this joyously vibrant hue is making a comeback, a few months earlier than we were expecting.

We've been longing for orange ever since the era of Tangerine Tango ended, and we had but a taste of it this fall when it became the cool-girl lipstick color. Suddenly, we're seeing orange in everything. Yes, we found some truly gorgeous orange lippies, but there's also an influx of blush and eyeshadow as well. The best part? It's all totally wearable. There's no shade related to a bad fake tan here — just colors reminiscent of desert sunsets, creamsicles, and blood oranges. Doesn't that sound like a nice way to get through winter?
