Her crackling dark humor may have lit up The Bling Ring, and she certainly stole the show in The Perks of Being A Wallflower, but Emma Watson will not be taking on another buzzy leading role any time soon. Why? She's dropping out of movies for a bit to head back to school. Keep in mind, the former Miss Hermione Granger was only 11 when she made her illustrious film debut in Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone. That was almost thirteen years ago, and Watson, an eager history scholar, has been forced to start and stop her education repeatedly since then. “I’ve kind of been in charge of my own education since I started out on ‘Potter’ when I was 9 or 10,” she's told Rookie.
Now at 23, Watson is a senior at Brown University and has every intention of finally finishing her degree this year. After leaving the university twice to film the final Harry Potter films and Perks, she's determined to put her studies above work in 2014. An insider talking to PopCrush said, "Emma is in demand with Hollywood directors but has so much to focus on with her studies, that she has had to pass on a few things — she simply can’t do everything. It’s tough but she believes it was the right thing."
It's may be a temporary drought for Watson's legion of fans, but chin up. You know Hermione would be proud. (PopCrush)
