Margaret Cho Cast In Tina Fey’s Sitcom (Cue Hand-Clap Emojis)

So, it goes without saying that nothing will ever top Tina Fey's pairing with Amy Poehler. Even so, we're delighted to see other funny ladies being brought into the Fey fold. Case in point: Margaret Cho's return to television. Yes, she's just been cast as a series regular in the as-yet-untitled college sitcom that the 30 Rock star is producing for Fox. This is gonna be good.
Cho, who earned an Emmy nomination for her performance as Kim Jong-il on 30 Rock, will portray Laura Thibault, the president of fictional Cabot College. Thibault is described as a "divisive figure" who has let male students attend the women's university. It's not quite as bad as turning Carrie Bradshaw into fashion roadkill, but still.
Congrats to Cho on the new gig. Now all we need is a Poehler cameo and maybe Jane Krakowski and Rachel Dratch as distinguished professors. (Vulture)
