UPDATE: The TV gods giveth, and the TV gods taketh away. Seems Johansson's SodaStream ad won't be appearing during the Super Bowl. While there's no exact word why, some are speculating that Fox didn't want to run afoul of major advertisers like Coke and Pepsi. Oh well, with 1.5 million viewers already, SodaStream can't be all that mad about it.
David Beckham's got some competition for the title of Hottest Celebrity Spokesperson during the Super Bowl. It seems Scarlett Johansson will be shilling for SodaStream in a mildly racy ad that plays up her sexpot image (and, er, the environmentally friendly benefits of whipping up your own soda at home, or whatever). Does Joaquin Phoenix know about this?

Though SodaStream has been plagued with controversy, ScarJo is happy to extol its virtues. The commercial sees her joking about her "real" celebrity job of saving the world, which of course means cutting down on wasteful bottles by using SodaStream. A slo-mo shot of her seductively sipping her DIY beverage wraps things up. It's nowhere nearly as sexy as Cindy Crawford's Pepsi ads, but we're sure the male demographic will be pleased all the same.
"I have been pushing SodaStream to my family for years," the Her actress told People. "I buy it for my friends as housewarming gifts, and I have it everywhere I go. When I film, I have it in my trailer, and they outfit the whole craft service table with it. I have it everywhere just because I love it so much."
Can't accuse the girl of not trying to earn her keep! (People)
