Daisy Lowe Is A Total Rock Diva With A Little Help From i-D & Diesel

Nicola Formichetti is truly making his mark as artistic director at the iconic contemporary label Diesel. And, this i-D fashion shoot featuring his second collection of leather looks for the Diesel Tribute line totally proves it. The editorial — shot in London by Boo George and featuring It Girl Daisy Lowe striking her fiercest rock-goddess poses — riffs on the rich heritage of the 35-year old business.
Formichetti spent weeks in the company’s archives, just outside of Venice, sourcing the designs he wanted to form the basis of this collection. The leather mini-dress worn by Lowe is a jigsaw puzzle of vintage Diesel leather tags, while the brand’s trademark low-slung skinny jeans are refashioned as skintight leather pants.
But, this isn’t a collection that’s looking over its shoulder to the past. Oh no. It's easy to see the jackets, pants, T-shirts, and accessories assimilating without much fuss into many an urbanite’s wardrobe. And, with the likes of Douglas Booth wearing looks from the collection on the cover of Rollercoaster magazine recently, we’re sure that this mini fashion line has cult status written all over it.
