Karl Lagerfeld’s London Flagship Is Going To Be MAJOR

Shopping on Regent Street keeps getting better and better. First J.Crew launched its London location, and now comes the news that Karl Lagerfeld’s namesake brand is (finally) opening its flagship store on March 14.
Last year, the rumor was that Lagerfeld would choose South Molton Street to base his U.K. retail operations, but 145-147 Regent Street is where the fashion label will call home. And, what a home it is! These preview pictures reveal it’s a 2,700-square foot monochromatic masterpiece that offers a glimpse into the mind-set of this sartorial genius. From suits and handbags to accessories and limited-edition projects (hello Lagerfeld-designed Diet Coke bottles), anything to do with KL can be bought here.
What’s more, the store aims to fuse fashion, shopping, and technology in a unique way. Changing rooms masquerade as photo booths with built-in touch screens allowing shoppers to take snaps of their outfits and apply Karl-sanctioned filters to them before sharing on their social-media channels. Want to write Lagerfeld a personal note? You can. Just leave a message in the digital guestbook at any of the iPads in the store.
